Order of the Jonestown Board of Adjustment and Appeals ordering Repair of Substandard Building

Notice is hereby given that the City of Jonestown Board of Adjustments and Appeals held a hearing on April 14, 2025, regarding building(s) on property located at 17705 Breakwater Drive, Jonestown, Travis County, Texas 78645. The Board found from evidence presented at the public hearing that the building(s) is/are substandard and in violation of the minimum standards set forth in Article 3.03, Chapter 3 of the Jonestown City Code and that the defects or conditions exist to the extent that the life, health, property and safety of the public are endangered. Therefore, the Board of Adjustments, on April 14, 2025, issued the following Order:

• Owner shall install a fence as directed by the City to secure the property and Building within seventy-two (72) hours of the date of this Order;

• Within 14 days of the date of this Order, Owner shall correct all defects or conditions that exist at the property and Building that the City’s Building Official/City Inspector has identified as endangering the life, health, property and safety of the public, as well as submit its proposed scope of work for all repairs the Building(s) to the City;

• Within sixty (60) days of the date of this Order, Owner shall submit an approved building plan and obtain a building permit; • Owner shall commence all remaining repairs identified in the scope of work by before the 90th day from the date of this Order;

The Order has established a specific time schedule for the commencement and performance of the work.
