Irrigate outdoors using an in-ground irrigation system or hose-end sprinkler no more than ONCE per week for 15 hours only during scheduled days and times as indicated below:</strong></p>

Odd number addresses: Wednesdays
Even number addresses: Thursdays</p>

<p>At the July 11, 2023 meeting of the JWSC Board of Directors, the Board voted to institute a change to the current Drought Contingency Plan regarding water consumption.  The change is as follows:
“Members will be limited to a maximum monthly usage not to exceed 50,000 gallons for single-family residences.  The maximum allowance will be adjusted proportionately for multi-family residences and commercial properties with larger meters.  Amounts used over the maximum allowance stated will be billed at twice the standard gallonage rate.”</p>

<h3>-Conserve water agressively. Please delay doing laundry, running the dishwasher or taking long showers.</h3>
<h3>-Drip your faucets responsibly. Set you faucet furthest from the meter to a slow drip (1-2 drips per second).</h3>
<h3>Do NOT run a full stream or multiple faucets.</h3>

<p>•	“Do not drink the water without boiling it first”.</p>
<p>•	 Water should be brought to a “vigorous rolling boil” for at least 2 minutes.</p>
<p>•	 Water must be boiled for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth, and washing dishes.</p>
<p>•	 Boiled water notice issued due to loss of system pressure.</p>
<p>•	 Children, seniors, and persons with weakened immune systems are particularly   vulnerable to harmful bacteria, and all customers should follow these directions”. </p>
<p>-Repairs have been made to the raw water line. We are still encouraging water conservation at this time. Expect to see water fully restored late tonight or early tomorrow morning. </p>
<p>Water conservation is still in effect as repairs are being done. </p>
<p>There was weather related damage to the raw water line, that has lowered capacity until permanent repairs can be made. The plant is still operating as normal, and the water is safe to drink. We are still asking everyone to follow the steps listed below. In addition, please check your irrigation system to make sure it does not go off, and only drip faucets if necessary.</p>

<p>The City of Jonestown requires all vehicles using <strong>Jones Brothers Park</strong> to display a valid permit. Permits help us maintain and improve the park, boat ramps, and public facilities.</p>

Residents living inside Jonestown city limits may obtain a <strong>free vehicle parking permit decal</strong> and a discounted annual boat launch pass.</p>

<ul><li>A maximum of five (5) cubic yards (5.5’ x 5’ x 5’) of acceptable residential bulky items will be collected.</li>
<li>Resident’s bulky items should be neatly placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled pick-up.</li>
<li>This service is ONLY offered to current residential Waste Connections customers with in the city limits of Jonestown.</li>
<li>Residents will be responsible for proper disposal of anything put out after 7:00 a.m. or over the 5 cubic yard limit. Note: these guidelines are strictly enforced.</li>
<li>NO BULKY WASTE SHOULD BE PLACED FOR COLLECTION PRIOR TO SATURDAY, June 24th.</li></ul>

<h3>ACCEPTABLE ITEMS</h3>
<ul><li>Bulky items such as stoves, water tanks, furniture, washing machines, and dryers.</li>
<li>Air conditioners, freezers and refrigerators that are tagged verifying CFC’s have been removed by a certified technician.</li>
<li>Bundled Brush securely tied together and properly prepared ( 4-foot lengths, 4-inch diameter or 40 pounds in weight) and placed at curbside.</li>
<li>Total acceptable volume of bulky items and/or bundles is five (5) cubic yards measured as 5’ x 5’ x 5’.</li></ul>
<h3>UNACCEPTABLE ITEMS</h3>
<ul><li>Gasoline, motor oil, paint, chemicals, and similar flammable liquids.</li>
<li>Medical waste (including needles and syringes), animals or human waste.</li>
<li>Tires, car batteries, and large pieces of metal (car fenders, engines, etc.)</li>
<li>Used oil filters or any hazardous or toxic waste</li>
<li>CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL AND DEMOLITION DEBRIS - i.e. concrete, rebar, dirt, sheet rock, rocks, excelsior, gypsum board, metal, rubber and wood products.</li></ul>]]></content:encoded>

            <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>JONESTOWN, Texas</strong> – The historic Cox Springs School soon will get a facelift thanks to a $25,000 grant from the Lower Colorado River Authority and Pedernales Electric Cooperative.</p>
<p>The Community Development Partnership Program grant, along with $68,000 in matching funds, will allow the Cox Springs School Restoration Society to restore the exterior of the more than 100-year-old building, including doors, porches, roof decking, chimney and original metal skirt.  </p>

            <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN</strong> that the City Council of the City of Jonestown, Texas, will convene at the City Council Chambers, 18649 FM 1431, Suite 4A, Jonestown, Texas at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026, and, during such meeting, the City Council will consider passage of an ordinance and take such other actions as may be deemed necessary to authorize the issuance of combination tax and revenue certificates of obligation in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $2,175,000 for the purpose of paying contractual obligations of the City to be incurred for (1) constructing, improving, enlarging, and expanding streets, roads, and thoroughfares, including but not limited to Old Burnett Road; (2) acquiring and installing an emergency backup generator for the City’s wastewater treatment plant; (3) mapping for wastewater treatment land use; (4) constructing, improving, equipping, and rehabilitating the City’s reclaimed water storage tank; and (5) professional services relating to the design, construction, project management, and financing of the aforementioned public works. The certificates of obligation will be payable from the levy of an annual ad valorem tax, within the limitations prescribed by law, upon all taxable property within the City and a limited pledge (not to exceed $1,000) of the surplus revenues of the City’s Water and Sewer Utility System.  The certificates of obligation are to be issued, and this notice is given, under and pursuant to the provisions of the Certificate of Obligation Act of 1971, as amended, Local Government Code, Section 271.041, et seq. </p>
<p>As further required by Local Government Code Section 271.049(b)(4), the following additional information is provided:</p>
<p>(A)	The current principal of all outstanding debt obligations of the City is $715,000.
(B)	The current combined principal and interest required to pay all outstanding debt obligations of the City on time and in full is $726,344.50.
(C)	The maximum principal amount of the certificates to be authorized is $2,175,000.
(D)	The estimated combined principal and interest required to pay the certificates to be authorized on time and in full is approximately $3,648,450.
(E)	The maximum interest rate for the certificates may not exceed the maximum legal interest rate.
(F)	The maximum maturity date of the certificates to be authorized is March 1, 2046.</p>
<p>Pursuant to Texas Local Government Code Section 271.049(c), an election on the question of the issuance of the certificates will be called if before the time tentatively set for the authorization and issuance or if before the authorization of the certificates, the City Secretary receives a petition signed by at least five percent of the qualified voters of the City protesting the issuance of the certificates, the City may not issue the certificates unless the issuance is approved at an election ordered, held and conducted in the manner provided for bond elections under Chapter 1251, Government Code.  </p>

<p>The City of Jonestown plans to submit an application for a Small Parks grant from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for the Jones Brothers Park project.</p>
<p>A public hearing has been called for August 5, 2024, at 5:00 p.m., at Jonestown City Hall, 18649 FM 1431, Suite 3A, Jonestown, TX  78645 to discuss and consider the park improvements.  Public comment is welcome and may be submitted in writing at City Hall during routine business hours.</p>

            <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Notice is hereby given that the City of Jonestown Board of Adjustment and Appeals held a hearing on April 14, 2025, regarding building(s) on property located at 11119 Third Street, Jonestown, Travis County, Texas 78645. The Board found from evidence presented at the public hearing that the building(s) is/are substandard, constitute a public nuisance,  and in violation of the minimum standards set forth in the Code of Ordinances and the Unified Development Code of the City of Jonestown and that the defects or conditions exist to the extent that life, health, property and safety of the public are endangered; and that the substandard conditions could not be remedied by repairing both structures to minimum building standards; the Owner did not object to the evidence of substandard defects presented at the public hearing and agreed that the Building(s) required demolition; the Owner has not presented a plan of repair; that forty-five days is reasonable and sufficient time to schedule and carry out demolition; and that Shawne Ellen Donahue Welcher, owner of said property, is ordered to demolish the Building(s) within 45 days of the date of this Order. </p>
<p>If the work to demolish or remove the building(s) is not completed within the period of time referenced in the preceding paragraph and no appeal has been timely filed with the City Council or timely filed with any Court having jurisdiction to review this Order, then City of Jonestown will secure or demolish the building(s) without further notice and charge all expenses incurred by the City to the Owner.  If the Owner does not reimburse the City for its expenses, the City will place a lien upon the property for the amount owed. The costs, together with interest accruing at 10% per annum will be assessed as a charge against the land and will be a personal obligation of the owner.</p>

            <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The City wanted to make citizens aware of an upcoming tree service scheduled at Jones Brothers Park that coincides with the City’s ongoing Oak Wilt prevention efforts. </p>
<p>This information is being shared in the event that residents living near the park may have questions or concerns.</p>
<p>Heritage Tree Care has scheduled oak wilt prevention treatments for nine (9) live oak trees located around the Jones Brothers Park Boat Ramp. </p>
<p>The work is scheduled to take place Monday, January 19 through Thursday, January 22, with technicians arriving between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. each day. </p>
<p>A City staff member will be onsite accompanying the arborist during the work.</p>
<p>This preventative maintenance is part of the City’s proactive Oak Wilt Program and is intended to protect the health and longevity of the park’s mature oak trees.</p>]]></content:encoded>
